Paal Engelstad disputerte 2. desember 2005 for dr. scient.-graden ved UiO. Avhandlingen har tittel: "Security and privacy in 802.11 Wireless LANs: State-of-the-art and future Challenges ". Disputasen ble avholdt på UniK. Veiledere var professor Pål Spilling ved UniK/UiO og seniorforsker Do van Thanh ved Telenor R&D.
Sean Erik Foss disputerte 23. september 2005 for dr. scient.-graden ved UiO. Avhandlingen har tittel: "Graded Optical Filter in Porous Silicon for use in MOEMS Applications". Disputasen ble avholdt ved UiO. Veiledere var professor Terje Finstad ved UiO og professor Aasmund Sudbø ved UniK/UiO.
Jarle Gran disputerte 28. juni 2005 for dr. scient.-graden ved UiO. Avhandlingen har tittel: "Accurate and independent spectral response scale based on silicon trap detectors and spectrally invariant detectors". Disputasen ble avholdt ved UiO. Veileder var professor Aasmund Sudbø ved UniK/UiO.

Habtamu Abie disputerte 12. mai 2005 for dr.scient.-graden ved UiO. Avhandlingen har tittel: "A distributed Digital Rights Management model". Disputasen ble avholdt ved UiO. Djordje Kokotovic disputerte 3. mars 2005 for dr.ing.-graden ved NTNU. Avhandlingen har tittel: "Fully Integrated Voltage-Controlled LC-Oscillators for Direct-Conversion Radio-On-a-Chip Applications in CMOS Technology". Disputasen ble avholdt ved NTNU.
