Everyone with a user account at UNIK can have an email address at the format username@unik.no. If you would like a mail alias(e.g. name.family name@unik.no), contact support. If you already have an email account elsewhere, inform us, and we will add that mailaddress to our address book
Our email-server (MS Exchange) supports 'webmail' and the protocols 'imap' og 'smtp'. In principal, any email client can be used, but we only give support for MS Outlook. Remember to configure the client to 'imap' protocol or Exchange server (picture below). We do not recommend 'Outlook Express', since email is not saved on the local disk.
Webmail: Enter https://webmail.unik.no in the address field of the browser, og you username at the format username@unik.no.
UNIKs 'official' address lists can be viewed and accessed in Outlooks 'Address Book'. The mail distribution lists are in bold letters. By doubleclicking the address you can see the members on the list, a note of what the group represents, and the 'owner' who manage the list. You can also add your own private address lists in the Adress BookWe check all email for junk mail (spam) and viruses.
